Pray With Sincerity

I was working in a company for close to 9 years with no proper pay hike, no promotions, and the workplace was filled with toxic and cruel people (selfish and greedy workmates.) I use to cry everyday to go to work and work in that environment. My teammates started to mock at me saying.. I couldn’t crack an interview outside, that's the reason I am stuck there for all these years... Praying to St. Anthony and also fasting almost every Tuesday for my prayer to be answered and finally he answered and I got a new job with a good package.. Thank you St. Anthony... Pray with sincerity and he shall grant us. Thanks, L.L.

Saint Anthony Is So Powerful

Saint Anthony is so powerful and miraculous. My husband lost his phone with very important stuff in it. We started praying to Saint Anthony. We had looked in the truck numerous times and no phone. A week later we looked in the truck again and there it was. We know it was St.Anthony......Thank you St. Anthony, we love you.

Ygnacia’s Own Stories - Maybe There Is Something To This St. Anthony Thing

Once again Saint Anthony comes to my rescue - I purchased Mother’s Day cards for both my sister and my mother and put them in some ‘safe place’. Big mistake. I started looking for them the day before Mother’s Day, no luck. I looked again Mother’s Day morning right before I needed to leave, still no luck. As I was giving up hope I prayed to Saint Anthony once again in desperation, “Saint Anthony please help me find those cards!” After praying that prayer I immediately looked down as I leaned against the counter in my kitchen and there they were the two cards, right in a place I thought I’d looked before. What would I do without him? Saint Anthony has come to my assistance  so many times my husband said, “maybe there is something to this Saint Anthony thing.” I would say to that a wholehearted yes! Not only do I depend on Saint Anthony’s help for my more than occasional lapses in memory, but I ask for his help and guidance in so many other things too - help for my family, for spiritual direction, for so many things I turn to him as a big brother in the Faith with complete trust. Once again, thank you Saint Anthony~

It Seemed The Trip Would Not Happen

The following is a story from Saint Anthony’s Shrine of Ohio’s website:

About two weeks ago, I was preparing for a trip that was important to me. Much preparation had been invested in the trip, not only by myself but by many others. I have never in my life lost a passport. The requirements for replacing a lost one have become so burdensome in recent years that I am compulsive about always keeping my passport in the same cupboard at home. I even have a routine of glancing in the cupboard many times per week in order to reassure myself that it is there in its place.

On the day of the trip, I arose two hours early and prepared to leave for the airport, but at the moment I was to leave, I noticed that the passport was missing. I looked everywhere in the house for an hour, but it was nowhere to be found. It seemed that the trip would not happen and that all the preparations would be pointless, and that many years of friendship with those who had to prepare the trip would be dishonored.

When I was a child, my grandmother, who was born at the beginning of the twentieth century, taught me to say; "St. Anthony, St. Anthony come around, my [name of the lost item] is lost and cannot be found!"

Perhaps because of the simple rhyme characteristic of children's verses, or perhaps because of my affection for my grandmother, I remembered this for more than half a century ago. I repeated it, inserting the word "passport."

At that moment, my wife shook an old jacket she wanted me to take on the trip so that I should not be cold. The passport dropped from one of its pockets. Neither of us had any idea how it had gotten there. I had not worn the jacket for some time. I thanked St. Anthony, said goodbye, and I was early for my plane.
