He is one of the great saints of the Catholic Church, and one of the beloved--even far beyond Catholics themselves. Untold numbers of people turn to him, still, when there is loss. A Cancer Scare Relieved
Today my only child was to receive results of a cancer scan. She only told me last Wednesday about this health scare. I was terrified, she is only 32 and has a son to bring up as a lone parent. I prayed to St Anthony yesterday that the scan would be clear, and this morning she was told by the oncologist that all is clear and that she is a healthy woman. The relief is indescribable. I thank Almighty God and his Saint Anthony for this reply to our prayers. I hope later this year to thank Saint Anthony at his tomb in Padua.
