He is one of the great saints of the Catholic Church, and one of the beloved--even far beyond Catholics themselves. Untold numbers of people turn to him, still, when there is loss. Finding The Right Direction
My last Christmas with my Dad, he told me my life had to change. Even though he had made mistakes, he felt he needed to advise me. After he died, and those same things had gotten much worse, I was fixing dinner in the kitchen and thinking about him, and the thought came to me to pray to St. Anthony. I started praying and little things started happening and finally everything straightened itself out and changed my whole direction and changed my spiritual life and life direction. So the message of my story is that St. Anthony is not only the saint that helps you find lost things, but your lost direction and reason to be here, which are much more important.
